November 2019

The venlafaxine patient fact sheet has been reviewed and uploaded to the website

Two new medicine profiles – bethanechol and afatinib have been added to the medicine library.

The Asthma Medicines therapeutic group has been reviewed and updated to reflect current recommendations in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Ninety-eight (98) medicine profiles have been reviewed and updated, including cardiovascular, dermatological and immunomodulator and antineoplastic medicines.

 

September 2019

The olanzapine patient fact sheet has been reviewed and uploaded to the website

A new medicine profile – C1 esterase inhibitor has been added to the medicine library.

The Gadolinium based and iodinated based contrast media has been reviewed and updated to reflect current recommendations in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Eighty-five (85) medicine profiles have been reviewed and updated, including cardiovascular, obstetric and rheumatological medicines.

 

July 2019

A new patient medicine fact sheet - topiramate has been added.

The lithium patient fact sheet has been reviewed and uploaded to the website

A new medicine profile - eculizumab has been added to the medicine library.

The Antiemetics and Laxatives therapeutic groups have been reviewed and updated to reflect current recommendations in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Seventy-two (72) medicine profiles have been reviewed and updated, including psychotropic, and blood and electrolyte medicines.

 

May 2019

A new patient medicine fact sheet levetiracetam has been added.

A new medicine profile - sacubitril with valsartan has been added to the medicine library.

The Antiepileptic and Antifungal therapeutic groups have been reviewed and updated to reflect current recommendations in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

One hundred and fifteen (115) medicine profiles have been reviewed and updated, including anti-infective, psychotropic, respiratory and gastrointestinal medicines.

 

March 2019

A new patient medicine fact sheet chlorpromazine has been added.

Two medicine fact sheets have been reviewed: diazepam and mirtazapine.

Medicines for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) therapeutic group has been added to the website.

The Antihistamines therapeutic group has been reviewed and updated to reflect current recommendations in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Sixty-three medicine profiles have been reviewed and updated, including anti-infective and psychotropic medicines.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) pregnancy categories and manufacturer’s product information are sometimes difficult to interpret. The Women’s PBMG has developed a series of practical recommendations for medicines used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
