The PBMG Updates aims to provide useful information about new, current and upcoming features of the Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Medicines Guide (PBMG).

August 2018

Two new medicine profiles, daclatasvir and dolutegravir have been added to the medicine library.

A CAM monograph – echinacea has been added to provide evidence-based pregnancy and breastfeeding safety information.

All fifteen allergy and anaphylaxis medicine profiles, nine antidote medicine profiles and fourteen diagnostic imaging contrasts have been reviewed and updated

Seven patient information fact sheets, citalopram, desvenlafaxine, escitalopram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, sertraline and venlafaxine have been revised.

 

June 2018

A new therapeutic group: Anthelmintics has been added. This aims to provide general advice about treatment of worms during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Three new medicine profiles have been added to the medicine library, including brexpiprazole, milnacipran and suvorexant.

Two new patient fact sheets, asenapine and moclobemide have been added.

A CAM monograph – aloe vera has been added online to provide evidence-based pregnancy and breastfeeding safety information.

All 125 medicine profiles have been reviewed and updated to provide the latest information and recommendations for use in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

 

April 2018

A new therapeutic group: Medicines used for the treatment of acne has been added to the website. This aims to provide general advice about treatment of acne during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Two new medicine profiles have been added to the medicine library, including ivacaftor and tofacitinib.

A new patient fact sheet, amisulpride has been added.

A CAM monograph - raspberry leaf extract has been added online to provide evidence-based pregnancy and breastfeeding safety information.

All 112 Immunomodulators and antineoplastics medicine profiles have been reviewed and updated to provide the latest information and recommendations for use in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

 

February 2018

Two new medicines profiles, ulipristal and micafungin have been added online

Two new medicine fact sheets, alprazolam and nitrazepam have been added to the website.

Medicines for the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis has been added to the website.

All 50 dermatological and 35 rheumatological medicine profiles have been reviewed and updated to provide the latest information and recommendations for use in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

 

December 2017

Two new medicine fact sheets, flupentixol and paliperidone have been added to the website.

A new CAM profile, fish oil has been added online to provide evidence-based pregnancy and breastfeeding safety information.

Two medicine profiles, pitavastatin and riociguat have been added online.

All 88 cardiovascular medicine profiles have been reviewed and updated to provide the latest information and recommendation for use in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

 

October 2017

A new therapeutic group: Medicines for urinary incontinence has been added to the website. This aims to provide general advice about medicine use for urinary incontinence during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

A cranberry CAM monograph has been added online to provide evidence-based pregnancy and breastfeeding safety information.

All 40 blood and electrolyte medicine profiles have been reviewed and updated to provide the latest information and recommendations for use in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Two new medicine monographs, clevidipine and macitentan have been added online.

A ginger CAM monograph has been added online to provide evidence-based pregnancy and breastfeeding safety information.

All 65 psychotropic medicine profiles have been reviewed and updated to provide the latest information and recommendations for use in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Two new medicine monographs, ingenol mebutate and secukinumab have been added online.
